PostSubject: Flare Star.   Tue Jun 18, 2013 8:07 am

A normally dull star in Ursa Major brightened 15x its normal brightness in just 3 minutes, then returned to normal. It's name is WX UMa.
The star belongs to a rare group of variable stars known as Flare Stars.
These Flare Stars are brief and soon revert back to normal in 10 minutes.
This Star is is about 15.6 light years away from Earth in a binary system.
